I have a Windows 7 64-bit Tower that I use in my recording studio that cannot connect to the net. The responses to this question may solve a different problem very well, but like the original poster, I would also be interested in how I would know which SP1 is the correct version for my system. Whether it is necessary to install SP1 prior to installing Dell Drivers is debatable, but this is what I'm trying to do. Instead, I'm downloading the SP on a different computer and copying the files to the new Dell. Therefore, asking Windows to download directly is not a solution.
The machine in question is a newer Dell and it doesn't like the old version of Windows 7, so it won't connect to the network.
